PURPOSE IN THE PAIN
Welcome to Purpose in the Pain Ministries!
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry dedicated to extending hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ to women through their pain.
Unmanaged chronic physical and emotional pain can hinder a woman's confidence and ability to experience the fullness of life and confidently pursue purpose.
That’s why we strive to uplift and empower women to seek the Lord through their pain and live out His purpose for their lives. We accomplish this through blogs, 1:1 Christian Care sessions, group support, community engagement, and other resources designed to foster resilience and growth.

Our Founder
I'm a mother, a daughter, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a Woman of God who has had my share of pain. I'm a Chronic Pain warrior who battles with Endometriosis, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. After enduring an emotionally toxic relationship, I have also struggled with knowing my worth, identity, and value. But, with Christ as my strength, the pain no longer consumes my being.
"Overcoming pain has birthed my purpose and passion for providing comfort and encouragement to other women who live with Chronic Pain."
I'm a Christian Life & Empowerment Coach and Christian Care Counselor. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling, which has prepared me to walk alongside other women toward healing and wholeness. I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Christian Care.
READ SHONTEL'S TESTIMONY
is to be a vessel of encouragement by:
believe in the healing
power of Jesus Christ
find comfort in knowing God can use their pain to propel them to their destiny
believe that they
are fearfully and
wonderfully made
rest assured that they
are not defined by
their pain or alone
on this journey
believe that their pain
is part of their process
and serves as an
intricate part
of their being
“I remember feeling alone, at times, when I was in the midst of my storm. I would search social media for inspirational posts and comfort from women who had experienced similar or the same challenges as me. My true healing journey began once I developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My mindset renewed, and I found my strength through Him. My prayer is that this ministry will bring hope to women suffering from chronic pain. I pray that each woman will believe their season of pain is a divine part of the process toward birthing their purpose. May this site propel women to become the best versions of themselves.”
