Just a word of encouragement...

You had to go through it to get to this. It had to happen!

During a conversation with one of my dear sisters this week, she briefly recalled a time when she was distracted and entertaining something she shouldn’t have. And I could also recall the same in my life. It was in that conversation that I said, “It’s alright, we had to go through it to get to this." We were primarily discussing a significant accomplishment, how God has continued to bless us, and the necessity to make room in this season. Also, how she couldn’t see God orchestrating her steps back then, and how she most definitely wouldn’t be able to see it now, if she still had that distraction in her life. I’m so glad that in that moment of reflection, we were able to give God praise, honor, and gratitude for keeping and seeing us through. And for the ability to remove those distractions so He can be glorified in what He has called us to do.

But I also know gratitude doesn’t always come easy when looking back at past decisions. Some are left with shame and guilt – and girl, trust me, I have been there! But I’m here today to remind you that God can and will use those mistakes! I'm a living testimony. He can use those things to develop you into who you are today, and the future you. When you turn away from the old, and look towards God, He can wash you clean and free you from what is holding you in a state of shame.

Isaiah 43:18 -19 says, “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of the old. Behold, I will do a new thing! Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

If you are struggling with shame about a past situation, I encourage you to pray and ask God for forgiveness. Then ask Him to free and release you of that thought pattern and to transform your mind. It is time to release that shame and give it over to God so that He can do a new thing in and through you. You are too precious to be held bondage in shame and past decisions - there is so much in store for your future. I am praying for you, luv!!

Please, if you need further encouragement, prayer, or a listening ear, feel free to message me, and I will be sure to respond.

Until next time, Be blessed!
