When we look at God's characteristics as Creator, we find that He is incredibly precise and intentional in what He does. Even the smallest things that He has made serve a purpose. We do not exist by random chance or simply because of our parents. We exist because God, our Creator, has made us and created us for a purpose.
The manner in which we live out God's purposes for our lives is more than just one way. Do not simply think it is one passion or one single pursuit, instead realize that each day our lives have purpose potential contained within it. Colossians 1:16 tells us that God has created all things through Jesus and for Jesus, including you.
There is no greater purpose in which broken people find themselves than to be a vessel used for the Lord. If you are struggling to see ways in which your life is purposeful today, here are some of the best ways in which God has created you for a purpose, on purpose.
You were created for God's glory - "Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." (Isaiah 43:6-7)
You were created to serve others - "For you were called to be free, brothers and sisters; only don't use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love." (Galatians 5:13)
You were created to share the gospel - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)
You were created to be God's representative - "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
You were created to be a light - "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16)
Friend, no matter what season you find yourself in today, know that you carry purpose wherever you go. There is purpose in your pain. There is purpose in your storm. There is purpose in what feels like the mundane. Purpose is not always a single opportunity; it is something that God has created you with. It is within you because Christ lives inside of you.
"...Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been Created.." - Esther 4:14
A Prayer for you: Father, You have created everything with a purpose. That includes me too. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Your greater purpose for this world. Whenever I feel as though I am stuck in life, as though I don't make a difference or that I am falling behind, please remind me of Your truth. Help me to walk into each day, each relationship, each responsibility, and each opportunity that you have given me with purpose. May my life glorify You, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Be blessed and be encouraged 💞
